During your first visit, your dentist will prepare the affected tooth and then take an impression of it. This will be used as the mold for both your final and your temporary crown. We’ll install the temporary crown for you to use until your permanent crown arrives. When we receive it from the lab, you’ll return to our office and we’ll fit and adjust it so that it’s comfortable and secure. Then your dentist will cement your crown into place using a high-bond cement. Each step of the procedure will take from 30 to 60 minutes.

What Should I Expect When Getting a Tooth Bridge?

You’ll need two office visits to get a bridge installed. During your first appointment, your dentist will prepare both abutment teeth and then take impressions of them. This will be used as the mold for both your temporary and your permanent bridge. We’ll install the temporary bridge for you to wear until we receive your permanent bridge. When we receive it, you’ll return to our office for the final installation. We’ll install your bridge, adjust it for fit and comfort, and then we’ll secure it in place using a high-bond cement.
